The Role

We are recruiting an experienced and passionate SAS admin consultant with SAS project experience. Responsibilities will include conducting full data management project lifecycle activities to include requirements analysis and design, estimation, developing ETL, delivering analysis and reporting capabilities, and continuously monitoring performance and quality control plans to identify improvements. The successful candidate will have 7 plus years of working in the data and analytics world, including leading teams and presenting business outcomes to key stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities

• Advanced knowledge of SAS technology, architecture, deployment and maintenance in a banking environment (Mandatory)
• Proven hands-on experience with SAS 9.4 deployments (Mandatory)
• Experience on working with continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines
• Knowledge about Azure DevOps (Repos/Pipelines/Boards)
• Knowledge about Ansible for deployments automation
• Good problem-solving skills
• Pro-active self-starter with a positive attitude
• Capacity to work independently

Qualifications/Experience

• 7 plus years proven SAS experience.
• Knowledge of data management and visualisation tools.
• Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining, segmentation techniques and SAS programming.
• Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analysing large datasets.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings.
• Experience of designing/developing data ingestion processes.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Bachelor's degree preferably in Computer Science, or a related field.
• Knowledge of different delivery methodologies and their strengths and weaknesses.

• Personal Integrity, Stakeholder Management, Project Management, Agile Methodologies, Automation, Data Visualisation and Analysis.

Core Technical Skills

• Jira, Python, SQL, Cloud technology awareness, Azure DevOps, Continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, Ansible for deployments automation.

Desirable Skills

• Familiarisation with data and analytics projects to include, e.g., python, R, IBM Watson, tableau, Power BI and other industry standard technologies.
• Familiar with the concept behind the use of DevOps tools such as Git/Azure DevOps/Jenkins/Docker/Kubernetes.
• Familiar with the concepts of working with Cloud Service Providers (Azure/AWS/GCP).
