The Role

As an Analytics Subject Matter Expert, you will be responsible for developing leading edge data and NLP models and applications to enhance the portfolio of ISx4 services. This is a key new role within our business, offering the opportunity to create new models and tools and be a leading member of an expert solution delivery team. The role requires a blend of technical expertise in statistical analysis, data modelling, machine learning and classification, allied with the appropriate commercial acumen, to present the vision of the underlying service business case to clients. Candidates should showcase proficiency in NLP skillsets and exhibit a strong understanding of some or all of the following: classifiers, classifiers evaluations metric, statistical modelling, multiclass, multilabel, transfer learning and outcome-based modeling. A successful candidate should also be confident in discussing the academic merits of various NLP and language modeling techniques.

Job Responsibilities

  • Familiarity and relevance regarding Industry standard modelling tools and techniques with a focus on NLP tools and technologies including open source and vendor specific offerings.
  • Interpret and align client requirements to functional delivery.
  • Possess outstanding skills in statistical analysis, machine learning methods and text representation techniques.
  • Design NLP models, tools and applications.
  • Transform natural language data into useful features using NLP techniques to feed classification algorithms.
  • Choose appropriate annotated datasets for supervised learning techniques.
  • Transform natural language into useful features using efficient text representations.
  • Select and use the appropriate algorithms and tools for NLP tasks.
  • Collecting, organizing, and analysing a wide variety of data to support modelling work and to answer client business model questions Creation of a prototype using NLP and XAI technologies.
  • Extend ML libraries and frameworks to apply in NLP tasks.
  • Understanding of NLP techniques for text representation, semantic extraction techniques, data structures and modelling.
  • Present the outcomes to the client business team.
  • Develop quick turnaround analytics proof of concepts to demonstrate the art of the possible
  • Building predictive and forecasting models and evaluating results
  • The successful graduate will lead this project, in a supportive partnership with Dundalk Institute of Technology (DKIT) and will also have the opportunity to avail of a Post Graduate Diploma with Queen’s University Belfast as part of the employment offering.

Qualifications/Experience

    Essential Criteria:

  • Degree in maths, computing or related subject.
  • Experience in Python, R and relevant coding languages.
  • Specialist data analytics skills.
  • Legally entitled to work and travel throughout UK and EU, if necessary, you must have a valid work permit/visa in place allowing you to work and travel legally in both Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland.
  • Ability to attain UK Govt Security Clearance.
  • Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience in Natural language processing and machine learning and wider data analytics.
  • Experience of working in industry and knowledge of business processes.
